The Space Center Houston Robotic Basics Explorer Camp offers elementary-aged campers an immersive one-day experience in robotics and space exploration. Participants engage in hands-on activities, building and programming various robots, including LEGO robotic platforms, to complete simulated space exploration missions. Campers will gain confidence as they practice how to successfully code and program various robotics. The curriculum introduces fundamental concepts of electricity and circuits, alongside practical applications in engineering and design. Through innovative robotics challenges and interactive space-themed experiences, young explorers delve into topics such as rocketry, astronaut training, exploration, and the intricacies of living on the Moon. Campers are dropped off between 8:30-9:00 a.m. and picked up between 3:00-3:30 p.m., engaging in hands-on robotics and coding challenges throughout the day.
