The camp provides a challenging and supportive environment with a rigorous problem-solving curriculum designed to inspire students and prepare them for advanced university classes and competitive careers.
The AoPS Academy Summer Camp offers intensive training for high school students passionate about mathematics, particularly those interested in competitions like the AMC 10/12. The curriculum goes beyond standard high school coursework, delving into advanced topics such as Sequences and Series, Modular Arithmetic, and 3D Geometry. Students engage in a combination of lessons and hands-on problem-solving, both individually and in small teams, fostering a collaborative learning environment. The program aims to connect high school math concepts with competitive problem structures, encouraging independent discovery and critical thinking. It's designed to challenge students with unfamiliar problems, guiding them through the problem-solving process and helping them develop resilience through failure to achieve success. The camp focuses on enriching and inspiring students, preventing summer learning loss, and preparing them for rigorous academic challenges in the upcoming school year and beyond.
Each day consists of a Problem Solving component and a Mathematical Exploration component, with a quick review of a key topic followed by intriguing problems and collaborative team activities.
This camp is ideal for highly motivated high school students who enjoy problem-solving, want to be challenged beyond their grade level, and are interested in preparing for advanced math competitions.
