Club SciKidz Houston AI Summer Camps introduce campers to artificial intelligence, machine learning, and real-world technology. Through hands-on projects, campers actively build and experiment with AI concepts rather than just learning theory. They will use visual programming tools like Scratch to create personalized chatbots, learning about basic algorithms to teach their chatbots to converse, answer questions, and even tell jokes. The camp focuses on developing skills in areas such as pattern recognition, decision-making, voice and image processing, and predictive systems. Campers will combine technical skills with creativity to design simple chatbots and build intelligent applications. The program also emphasizes collaboration and teamwork as students work together, share ideas, and present their projects, fostering communication skills. Through interactive lessons and project-based activities, campers gain confidence in understanding how intelligent systems operate and how AI is shaping the future.
A typical day for ages 6-15 includes pre-camp extended care with science and technology activities, all-camp science demonstrations, multiple science rotations, snack time, lunch and recess, outdoor team and skill-building activities, and post-camp activities with more science experiments and playtime.
