The camp offers a unique opportunity to build a mock-up Mars Rover and includes an exciting field trip to NASA for an immersive space exploration experience.
The Mars Rover Explorers camp offers students an immersive experience in space exploration and engineering. Participants will engage in hands-on activities such as designing and building model Mars Rovers or habitats. They will perform science and engineering missions, culminating in a showcase of their designs. A key highlight of the camp is a field trip to NASA Johnson Space Center and Space Center Houston, providing authentic exposure to aerospace careers and real-world applications of STEM concepts. The program emphasizes developing STEM skills, fostering teamwork, and raising awareness of potential career paths in space innovation and exploration.
A typical day involves hands-on activities where students design and build model Mars Rovers or habitats, perform science and engineering missions, and collaborate with peers and mentors.
This camp is ideal for elementary and middle school students (grades 3-8) who are curious about space, enjoy hands-on building, and are interested in science and engineering challenges.

Houston STEM Summer Camps is a free directory service that aggregates publicly available information about STEM programs, summer camps, and educational opportunities. We do not operate, sponsor, endorse, accredit, certify, or have any affiliation with the camps and programs listed here unless explicitly stated.
All program details — including pricing, session dates, instructor credentials, curriculum, safety policies, refund terms, transportation, meal arrangements, and admission requirements — are sourced from publicly available information and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Listings are partially generated and updated using automated AI-assisted research, which can occasionally produce inaccurate details. Parents and guardians are solely responsible for independently verifying every detail directly with the camp before enrolling, paying, or relying on any information shown here.
